While I am waiting what am I learning?

Bible Encouragement Inspirational

I have a total of five t-shirts that I changed the design after I saw the shirt.  And that does not include the ones that never made it to the mockup, I just did not like it even after trying a variety of different things.  The one in the picture, my son said that looks more like a mountain than a rock.   Well hmmm.  Guess that needs some tweaking.

This process has been tough.  I MEAN TOUGH!   I have always wanted some sort of business. After many years I felt God saying time to give it another go.  It has parts I like.  For instance, designing the t-shirts and pinning to the Pinterest board.  The rest can go jump in a lake.   I have taken this slower than recommended because God does things in his own time.

I have cried from frustration too many times.   I do not understand why companies do not do a better job with instructions.   I have literally said to my computer screen I do not understand you are talking computerise (is that a real word? if not it should be).

And the mistakes WOW the mistakes I have made.  From shirts created, purchased and scrapped (costly as a small business owner) to tools purchased and bad programming.  But is it really a mistake if you learn from it?   NO, it is not.   So that is what I am trying to focus on and share that.

But it is hard being a startup in a competitive market.  It is hard when you have stepped out and tried something and are terrified of failing.

He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.  All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful toward those who keep the demands of his covenant.

Psalm 25:9-10

I am just going to wait on Jesus and when he says quit I quit when he says rise I rise.  If the waiting seems long I am in good company.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

-Psalm 27:14

Psalm 27:14

And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

-Hebrews 6:15

  • Joseph waited 15 years
  • Abraham waited 25 years.
  • David waited 15 years
  • Moses waited 40 Years

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

- James 1:12

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

Proverbs 3:5

So if you are currently waiting, may I say, welcome to the club.  And while we wait let us take a moment to see what is God trying to grow in us while we wait.  Because he has us waiting for a reason. What I see repeated in the scriptures is that he teaches us if we are willing to receive it.

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.  Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior,  and my hope is in you all day long.

Psalm 25:4-5

Can you imagine what Joseph would have been like if he had gone from having his dreams to being 2nd in command of Egypt within a year?   I do not mean to be mean but I am betting he would have been insufferable.

The question I leave with you... While I am waiting what am I learning?
